Dear Friends:

After serving for two decades in the Utah Legislature, in 2020, I did not seek re-election. It was truly an honor to serve in the Senate and House, as well as in other public services positions in our state and federal governments.

The 2024 General Legislative Session ended on March 1, 2024. When the Legislature is not in their winter General Session, starting in the spring, there are Interim and task force meetings, and an occasional Special Session. The schedule on the legislative website. You can find watch hearings, as well as finding out information about proposed legislation, upcoming meetings, and individual legislators at: www.le.utah.gov. You can also participate in hearings in person or on Zoom.

The bipartisan Clean Air Caucus, which I founded, holds meetings most months on Tuesday nights from the late spring through the end of the year. You can attend in person. They are also live-streamed on the Utah Clean Air Caucus Facebook page. Information about their schedule can be found on that Facebook page or by joining the Utah Clean Air Partnership mailing list at ucair.org.

Representative Doug Owens represents the district I most recently served in, although there have been some changes to the district boundaries due to redistricting and the House District number has changed to district 33. Please reach out to him with your questions, concerns, and suggestions on how to improve state government.

Thank you for the privilege of serving in the Utah Legislature.

Kind regards,
